Children are over in Africa
Starving to death and nobody cares
They drink dirty water and their parents cry
But when nobody helps; they die
Innocent children in the path of war
Seeing their family die
They hear the gun shots, they see the tanks
And it scars them for life
Here we are in this safe, beautiful country
Food spilling from the shelves
We've got water that's clean and pure pouring from the taps
If it's like this here
Then why on Earth are people dying from poverty
Little orphans, so small and innocent
They've done nothing to deserve this
Their parents die from HIV/AIDS
And now they're next in line
Pregnant girls at the age of 13
They became prostitutes to save their families
The only job that they could find
And now they're suffering
Here we are in this safe, beautiful country
Food spilling from the shelves
We've got water that's clean and pure pouring from the taps
If it's like this here
Then why on Earth are people dying from poverty
Poverty kills so many people
From such little things
It's so prevetable
And we can save their lives today
